Feasibility studies for the complete reconfiguration of a Grade II* building in the hearth of Covent Garden. Together with Interior Designer David Bentheim

The owners of this incredible 19th Century scenographic studio shortlisted us following a design competitions with a number of well known designers.The brief was to transform the more recent fabric of the building into a much more playful array of spaces. We developed three schemes with a firm of Quantity Surveyors. The more substantial option was inspired by John's Soane house and the ideas of vertical light slits, which were used to separated the new intervention from the existing precious fabric of this magnificent envelope and create a send of drama and tension.
