Planning Application obtained for the re construction of a new 10,000 sqft house, including a 9 cars basement parking and underground pool. In collaboration with Jonathan Freegard and David Bentheim

The client approached us with 2 briefs, one for the internal spaces and one for the external envelop for this house, previously the site of Constable's studio. The main request was to increase the floor areas and make the living spaces suitable for an enlarged family who entertain on a weekly basis. The desire was to make the interiors much more personal than the existing 'hotel' style which pervaded the house. The client also wanted to add a large underground parking with automated lift and a suitable size swimming pool. Substantial geotechnical and Structural Engineer reports accompanied our scheme for a complete new house. We completed a scheme for the interior spaces and the scheme for the exterior. Two Full Applications were submitted and Planning was granted without significant delay.
